I held a Master of Public Policy at the Harris School of Public Policy with a concentration in Energy, Environment, and Economics at University of Chicago and a master degree in Applied Macroeconomics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC). I obtained my bachelor degree in economics at the Universidad Católica Boliviana (UCB). I worked in the government of Bolivia in the Social and Economic Policy Analysis Unit (UDAPE) (2005-2008), then I was an advisor, consultant and Head of Studies Department to the Ministry of Finance of Chile (2012-2014 and 2018-2019), also I was researcher associate at the Latin American Center for Economic and Social Policies (CLAPES UC) at PUC (2014 - 2017). My research topics are Macroeconomics, Economic Growth, Sustainable Development and Energy. He is director of the El Faro Economics Blog.
